INCIDENT: TRAFFIC COLLISION

VICTIM: Adult Male Approximately 40 years old
On Friday, April 7, 2023, at about 6:48 PM, Pomona Police Officers responded to a major traffic collision involving a sedan and a pick-up truck. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered the driver of the sedan was in critical condition. L.A. County Fire Department arrived on the scene and transported the driver to a nearby hospital.
It appears the driver of the sedan was driving northbound on Fairplex Drive approaching Paseo La Paz when he lost control of his vehicle and collided with a cement wall, then into the passenger side of a pick-up truck. Speed may have been a factor in this collision. It is unknown if alcohol or drugs was a factor at this time.
