OWI 5th Arrest

On 04/09/23 at 10:09pm, Janesville Police and Fire responded to a possible traffic accident with injury in the 1500 blk of Parker Ct.  Reporting person advised a male had crashed a motorcycle and was now attempting to break into a residence.  The first arriving officer located Aaron C. Turner, 51 years of age, intoxicated, at the side of a residence.  The officer attempted to take Turner into custody when he attacked the officer striking him multiple times.  An additional responding officer successfully deployed a taser on Turner who was taken into custody without further incident.  A Janesville officer received minor injuries which did not require medical attention.
 
Through the investigation Turner showed 4 prior convictions for operating while intoxicated.  Turner was on probation/parole through Wisconsin Department of Corrections for operating while intoxicated 4^th offense.  He had an outstanding warrant for his arrest through the Department of Corrections.
 
Turner failed standardized field sobriety testing and was arrested.  Toxicology results are pending.  Turner was arrested on the following charges and held at the Rock County Jail:
