Ventura County Sheriff’s Technical Communications Specialist Adam Lowe has been selected as the 2023 Public Safety Dispatcher of the Year. This award is presented to an outstanding dispatcher for their exemplary work and contributions to public safety and the residents of Ventura County. Adam has been a dispatcher with the Sheriff’s Office since July of 2015. Adam is a loving husband to his wife Emily. They have a cat named Charlie and in his spare time, he enjoys relaxing at home, traveling, and watching hockey games. Sheriff dispatchers answer, assess, and refer 9-1-1 calls, and business calls that come into the Sheriff’s Office. They are responsible for dispatching and coordinating patrol response to calls for service and at times, responsible for up to 70 patrol deputies in the field. Dispatchers are among the first responders to emergency incidents and are expected to remain calm, professional, and proficient at all times. Adam’s co-workers can attest that he promotes all of the above attributes while working his shift. He is extremely reliable, willing to go above and beyond, and he is thoughtful and supportive. Congratulations to Adam Lowe for being selected as the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office’s 2023 Dispatcher of the Year. |
