INCIDENT: PC 273.5 (A) - Inflict Corporal Injury/Felony Spousal Abuse
LOCATION: 100 Block of L Street, Needles
SUSPECT(S): Robert Gooch Jr, 68-Years Old, Resident of Needles
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at approximately 12:30p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department responded to a call for service regarding a possible domestic disturbance that had just occurred. Through investigation, it was discovered that Robert Gooch struck the victim several times resulting in the victim being transported to the hospital.
Gooch was subsequently arrested for PC 273.5 (A) - Inflict Corporal Injury/Felony Spousal Abuse. Gooch was transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. Gooch remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $50,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
