Fire in Northern Monroe County 
Hello,
A wildland fire is in Northern Monroe County and is near the Jackson County Line. The fire, on the Jackson County side, is near the town of Millston close to Highway 12 and I-94. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources in addition to supporting fire departments are working to extinguish the fire. The current reccomendation for residents in the area is to shelter in place if you feel safe. Sheltering in place means to close external windows and doors to try to keep the smoke outside of the home. Residents should also be ready to evacuate if necessary. Being ready to evacuate means to have your purse/wallet, prescriptions, important papers, and pets ready to leave your residence. If residents in the area do not feel safe staying in their home a reception center has been opened up at the Warrens Community Center and additional resources may be available there. Additional information will be share when it becomes available.
