Narrative:
During the month of April 2023, Thousand Oaks Directed Enforcement Unit (DEU) and Thousand Oaks Special Enforcement Unit (SEU) detectives began an investigation into Bryan Pinedo Martinez related to gang graffiti and illegal firearms.  The damage caused by the gang related graffiti to a Thousand Oaks business was in excess of $950.00.  During the investigation, detectives obtained a search warrant for Pinedo Martinez and his residence.
 
On April 12, 2023, DEU detectives coordinated with SEU detectives to contact Pinedo Martinez in the city of Thousand Oaks. SEU and DEU detectives contacted Pinedo Martinez and arrested Pinedo Martinez for felony vandalism. DEU and SEU detectives executed the search warrant at Pinedo Martinez’ residence. As a result of the search warrant, detectives located controlled substances, ammunition, large capacity magazines, gang-related indicia, and graffiti paraphernalia/indicia.
 
Pinedo Martinez was booked at the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility for felony vandalism, possession of a controlled substance and being in possession of large capacity magazines. Pinedo Martinez remains in custody with a total of $30,000 scheduled bail.
 
DEU is comprised of seven detectives, who focus on protecting East County communities by actively investigating illegal activities.
