Crime Alert Bulletin Covering the Week of April 3-9, 2023
When I mention “the unit block” of a street, this means the incident occurred at an address anywhere between 1 and 99 of the street.
Robberies
There was one robbery during the past week.
On Thursday, 04-06-23, at approximately 8:00 p.m., an officer was dispatched to a residence to speak with a victim who had her iPhone 13 Pro Max taken 10 minutes earlier at the unit block of Park Plaza Drive. The victim stated she was on the bus and noticed three females. When the victim exited the bus, the three females also got off and followed the victim. When the victim walked on Park Plaza Drive towards John Daly Boulevard, one of the females tapped the victim’s shoulder and grabbed the cell phone, worth approximately $1,400, out of the victim’s hand. The suspect begins to dial a number and then runs away with the other two suspects. The victim ran after the suspects and stopped chasing when the suspect, who took her phone, gestured as if she was going to pull something out of her backpack. The victim described the suspect, who took her phone, as a slender White female in her early 20s, with long blonde hair, 4’9” tall, and wearing a blue jacket and blue jeans. Another suspect was described as a heavy-set White female in her late 20s, with short brown hair and blonde tips, 5’8” tall, and wearing a black “Chucky” shirt and gray jeans. The last suspect was described as a heavy-set White female with brown hair and wearing a light pink jacket. This investigation is continuing.

Nextdoor.com
Nextdoor.com is a free private social networking website for your neighborhood. This private network ensures that only those who live in your neighborhood can join; users must go through a verification process. Neighbors ask each other for business recommendations; help in locating missing pets; discuss relevant local government issues; or connect for other reasons. It is very easy to sign up. I like the fact that the site verifies users by addresses, and it won’t allow people to access a neighborhood if they don’t live there. Please note: The City of Daly City and/or the Police Department cannot see what residents post—we are only allowed to post information. There is also a mobile application, or you can have it sent to your e-mail. Give it a try! www.nextdoor.com
