The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has issued a Air Quality Action Day for Ground Level Ozone, until 11 PM EDT this evening. An Ozone Action Day has been declared for Friday, April 14th, 2023. Ozone has the potential to reach the unhealthy for sensitive groups category for locations along the I-95 corridor. Sensitive individuals, including the very young, the elderly, and persons with respiratory diseases such as asthma, should avoid strenuous activities during the afternoon and early evening hours.
