Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help with identifying the below-pictured suspects, who robbed a vape and smoke shop on March 25, 2023. 
 
Police responded to a call about the robbery, which occurred at approximately 9:12 p.m. at the Cloud Depot Vape and Smoke Shop, located at 273 Lafayette Street. Two suspects walked into the business and the first one, a Black male, brandished a weapon after the store employee showed them cigars in the display case. 
 
The victim attempted to defend himself, but he was injured when the suspect hit him in the head with the gun. Suspect #2, a Black female, took an unknown amount of money from the register and they both ran from the store eastbound on Lafayette Street. 
 
Suspect #1 with the weapon has a medium build and was wearing a green bubble jacket, blue jeans, and brown boots. Suspect # 2 has a thin build and was wearing all-black clothing.
