Flood Advisory until 09:30PM Friday

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Franklin, Halifax, Nash and Warren.

* WHEN...Until 930 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor Flooding of creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is expected.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 730 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is expected in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Red Oak, Castalia, Centerville, Aventon, Arcola, Medoc Mountain State Park, Glenview and Airlie. - This includes the following flood prone locations... Big Peachtree Creek at Stallings Mill Rd and Porter Creek and Little Fishing Creek at Hwy 561. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
