The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Fire Weather Watch...which is in effect from Wednesday morning through Wednesday evening.
* AREA AND TIMING... Much of northern and central New Mexico below significant snowpack from Tuesday morning through Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning through Wednesday evening.
* 20 FOOT WINDS...For Tuesday, westerly to southwesterly 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 50 mph. For Wednesday, westerly 30 to 40 mph with gusts to 60 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...6 to 12 percent, except up to 20 percent above 8500 feet.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
* AFFECTED AREAS: NORTHWEST PLATEAU ... NORTHEAST PLAINS ... WEST CENTRAL MOUNTAINS ... WEST CENTRAL BASIN AND RANGE ... UPPER RIO GRANDE VALLEY AND LOWER CHAMA RIVER VALLEY ... SANGRE DE CRISTO MOUNTAINS ... NORTHEAST HIGHLANDS ... CENTRAL HIGHLANDS ... EAST CENTRAL PLAINS
