Oak Forest Resurfacing Project:
Beginning Wednesday, April 19th, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, (weather permitting), streets within Oak Forest will be begin receiving  new Microsurface.

Microsurfacing is a thin, tough layer of asphalt emulsion that seals cracks and prevents moisture from penetrating the base. Microsurfacing maintenance helps save tax dollars because it extends the life of the pavement while providing an abrasive, skid-resistant surface.

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU COOPERATE
With the Public Works Department and
STAY OFF THE STREET
Until the barricades have been removed.
Wet Microsurface will stick to shoes, clothing and automobiles, so please DO NOT walk on it, ride your bicycle on it, or drive over it with your car until the surface is completely dry. If you have any doubts whether it is dry enough, be sure to “test” it first.
IF YOU PLAN TO USE YOUR CAR THAT DAY: Park it on an Adjacent Street.
IF YOU HAVE A LAWN SPRINKLER SYSTEM: Please close by 7am
