Red Flag Warning until 08:00PM Tuesday
The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Red Flag Warning...which is in effect from noon to 8 PM MDT Tuesday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
* AREA AND TIMING... This includes the Northwest Plateau (Zone 101), West Central Mountains (Zone 105) and West Central Basin and Range (Zone 109) across western NM, the Upper Rio Grande and Lower Chama River Valleys (Zone 121), the Sangre de Cristo Mountains below snowpack (Zone 122) as well as all of eastern New Mexico (Zones 104, 123, 125, and 126) from noon Tuesday through Tuesday evening and again Wednesday morning through Wednesday evening.
* 20 FOOT WINDS...For Tuesday, west to southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 40 mph. For Wednesday, west 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 50 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...6 to 12 percent, except up to 20 percent above 8500 feet each day.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
