Update: Green Bay Police Arrest Armed Suspect Involved in Reported Disturbance; Tanisha Washington, 29, Ashwaubenon
The Green Bay Police Department has arrested Tanisha Washington, 29, Ashwaubenon, who was suspected of a reported disturbance involving a handgun on April 17, 2023.
Officers were dispatched on April 18, 2023, at approximately 11:30 p.m. to a residence in the 2200 block of Newberry Avenue following reports that Washington was inside the home on the City’s east side.
Washington was taken into custody around 2:30 a.m. by SWAT without further incident with assistance from the Crisis Negotiation Team.
Washington was wanted for allegedly pointing a handgun at another woman and firing a round into the air prior to fleeing in a pick-up truck in the 2500 block of West Mason Street on the City’s west side.
We would like to thank the public for their assistance along with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, Oneida Police Department, Ashwaubenon Public Safety and the Wisconsin State Patrol in this case.
The GBPD will be referring charges to the Brown County District Attorney’s Office.
