April 18, 2023.
The City of Columbia has experienced an overflow of sanitary sewer near 3839 Gibson Street in Richland County.
A blockage in the main gravity sewer line appears to have caused the overflows of sanitary sewer.
City of Columbia crews confirmed the overflow at 10:37 am on April 18, 2023.
Crews have addressed the blockage are actively working to begin cleanup.
The overflow did enter the nearby Stormwater ditch.
