The Millstadt Autism Walk will be held this Saturday, the 22nd, from Noon - 2:00 p.m. at the village park. A large crowd is expected, so there are some things you should know:
This interactive walk will be held in the park, along the walking trail.
Legion Drive/W. Parkview (from N. Jefferson to N. Tyler) and N. Main (from W. Parkview to W. Gooding) will be closed to through traffic. There will be no parking along W. Parkview for the safety of the participants.
Parking for the event will be the rock parking lot at Liederkranz Park, the Millstadt Primary School/Millstadt Consolidated School parking lots, the parking lot by the tennis courts/ball fields on Kalbfleisch and surrounding residential streets. If planning on parking at Liederkranz Park or the primary center, please enter off N. Jefferson. Please refer to the attached map.
It is recommended that if you are not attending this event to please avoid the area. If you live on a residential street in the area, please be aware of increased vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
If attending the event, it is requested by the event committee to not bring animals into the park. This is due to the large crowd, and because some kids who are on the spectrum are fearful of dogs.
