Attempted Robbery ***UPDATE***

Investigators have determined the robbery reported earlier was unfounded. The Simi Valley Police Department would like to thank everyone for their assistance.

Today, on April 18, 2023, at 9:15 AM, a victim reported she had just completed a transaction, at a bank ATM in the 1300 block of E. Los Angeles Ave, when a female suspect approached and demanded money or coins. When the victim responded that she didn't have anything, the suspect told her to give her 4-year old daughter. The victim picked up her daughter and ran to safety in a nearby business. The suspect got into the passenger side of a vehicle, which fled the area.
The suspect is described as a female of Middle Eastern descent, in her 40s, with black hair in a pony tail, and wearing a dark blue shirt. The vehicle is possibly a white 2-door Toyota Prius. The vehicle was driven by a male driver, with no other description.
