Fire Weather Watch until 08:00PM Thursday

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Fire Weather Watch...which is in effect from Thursday afternoon through Thursday evening.

* AREA AND TIMING...Northwest Plateau (Zone 101), Upper Rio Grande and Lower Chama River Valley (Zone 121), North Central Mountains (Zone 120) below significant snowpack, Sangre de Cristo Mountains below significant snowpack (Zone 122), Middle Rio Grande Valley (Zone 106), Sandia and Manzano Mountains (Zone 124), Northeast Highlands (Zone 123), Northeast Plains (Zone 104), Central Highlands (Zone 125) and East Central Plains (Zone 126) from 10 AM to 10 PM MDT Today.

* 20 FOOT WINDS...Southwest to west 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 55 mph today. Northwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 55 mph Thursday.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Around 6 to 12 percent at the lower elevations Today and Thursday. Around 15 to 22 percent above 8500 feet in the North Central and Sangre de Cristo Mountains Today and Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

* AFFECTED AREAS: NORTHWEST PLATEAU ... NORTHEAST PLAINS ... MIDDLE RIO GRANDE VALLEY ... NORTH CENTRAL MOUNTAINS ... UPPER RIO GRANDE VALLEY AND LOWER CHAMA RIVER VALLEY ...
