Flood Advisory until 06:00PM Thursday

* WHAT...Flooding caused by snowmelt is occurring.

* WHERE...A portion of Montezuma County, including the City of Dolores, in Southwestern Colorado.

* WHEN...Until 600 PM MDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1140 AM MDT, Emergency Management reported flooding on County Road 36, off Highway 145. Minor flooding is already occurring. - Low water crossings and bridges off Highway 145 are the most likely places to experience minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Heed all road closures, find an alternate route if necessary.
