On April 20, 2023 at approximately 6:30 P.M. Officers responded to Albertsons for a Shoplift in progress. During the broadcast a vehicle description was given and SVPD Officers located the vehicle in the area of First St. and E. L.A. Ave. A traffic stop was conducted in the area of First St. and Cochran St. Three suspects were detained and eventually arrested for Organized Retail Theft and Conspiracy. Tycharra Smith 29 yrs. old, Mahogany Mitchell 21 yrs. old, and a male juvenile all from San Bernardino County were booked for the above listed crimes. During the investigation, Officers were able to determine the suspects shoplifted in at least four stores prior to our contact estimated at $4000.00 worth of property. The four stores include two from Simi Valley and two from Newbury Park. Suspect Mahogany Mitchell was also booked on four out of county Felony warrants.
