Owensville man arrested on DUI charge. 
On April 22, 2023, at 1 a.m. Sergeant John Fischer conducted a traffic stop on a Gray 2000 Nissan Frontier for failing to maintain its lane of travel on State Road 165 near Johnson. Upon approaching the vehicle Sgt. Fischer observed obvious signs of impairment coming from the driver 29 year old Cody Cox of Owensville. At that point Sergeant Fischer began a roadside DUI investigation. At the conclusion of his investigation he placed Mr. Cox into custody and transported him to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated. He remains in custody on a $450 bond.
Assisting Sgt. Fischer in his investigation was Owensville Town Marshal Jason Wright.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
