Speeding Motorist Arrested after Evading Deputies and Trespassing on a State Facility

INCIDENT: Felony Reckless Evading, Driving Under the Influence, Possession of a Narcotic, and Trespass.
LOCATION: 4300 block of Chino Hills Parkway, Chino Hills
SUSPECT(S): Bo Park, 30 year-old resident of Chino
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On April 23, 2023, at about 4:20 a.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff Department deputies, assigned to the Chino Hills Station, observed a motorist driving a Mercedes-Benz at a high rate of speed. The driver, later identified as Bo Park, traveled eastbound through Chino Hills. Deputies initiated a traffic stop by activating their marked patrol vehicle's emergency overhead lights and sirens. Park failed to yield and led deputies in a high-speed vehicle pursuit. Park entered Chino city jurisdiction and drove onto prison grounds at the California Institution for Men, Chino.
Deputies successfully utilized the Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT) to help terminate the pursuit. Deputies took Park into custody and determined he was under the influence of a narcotic and was also in possession of cocaine. Park was arrested for felony reckless evading, driving under the influence, possession of a narcotic, and trespass. Park was later booked into the West Valley Detention Center.
