INCIDENT: FATAL TRAFFIC COLLISION

VICTIM: Adult Female Approximately 30 years old
On Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at about 11:49 PM, Pomona Police Officers in the area of Holt Ave and Clark Ave heard a traffic collision nearby. They located a collision involving two sedans on Holt Ave, just east of Loranne Ave.
Officers on-scene immediately aided the driver and passenger of one of the involved vehicles due to severe injuries. L. A County Fire Department personnel arrived on-scene and transported the injured male driver to a nearby hospital in critical condition; the female passenger of his vehicle succumbed too her injuries, and was pronounced deceased on-scene. The other involved driver suffered no injuries as a result of the collision.
Witness statements indicate that the vehicle related to critically injured driver, and fatally injured passenger, may have been racing another vehicle westbound on Holt Ave just prior to the collision; this information has not been confirmed.
