Felony OWI 4th Offense
During the early morning of Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 12:47am, a Middleton Police officer observed an SUV driving in the 7600 block of Elmwood Avenue with no headlights on. The officer initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver and sole occupant as Bradley Lewandowski, a 42-year-old man from Rock Springs.
Lewandowski was driving with a suspended driver’s license. The officer detected a moderate odor of intoxicants and administered standardized field sobriety tests. Lewandowski showed enough signs of impairment that he was determined to be operating while under the influence of intoxicants. Lewandowski has three prior offenses and was arrested for fourth offense Operating While Intoxicated, which is a felony.
He was taken to a near-by hospital to execute a search warrant to obtain blood evidence. Lewandowski was then booked into Dane County Jail for 4th offense OWI. He also received a citation for Operating While Suspended.
