Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance identifying an unknown man responsible for burglarizing a Kailua-Kona school/church campus and stealing numerous items.
 
On Sunday, April 2, 2023, an employee reported that sometime during the previous evening between 10:00 p.m. and midnight on Saturday, April 1, an unknown persons(s) entered the property in the 75-5000 block of Kuakini Highway, in Kailua-Kona and stole a wagon, vacuum, basket of miscellaneous tools, and approximately $200 worth of frozen meat. The unknown suspect, described as an adult male, was caught on video surveillance walking away from the scene with the stolen items.
 
Anyone who may have information regarding this incident and/or the identity of the suspect is encouraged to contact Officer Curry McFadden at (808) 326-4646, ext. 253. They may also contact the police department’s non-emergency number at (808) 935-3311.
