TRAFFIC ALERT: Next week, water and sewer pipeline construction at the intersection of Steckel Dr. and Harvard Blvd. will begin. Construction is expected to last 4 weeks during the hours of 8AM - 6PM Monday - Friday and WILL impact traffic movement/access on Harvard Blvd. and Steckel Dr. 

Provided on the graphic in green is a suggested detour route for residents to avoid the construction. While residents can travel in the yellow highlighted areas on the map, expect traffic delays as turning movements and access to Steckel Dr. from Harvard Blvd. will be restricted. Those trying to access Glen City Elementary encouraged to drop off their children using Main St.

Specifically, restrictions include: Eastbound Harvard will not be allowed to turn left onto Steckel. Westbound Harvard will be reduced to one lane and no left turns will be allowed onto Steckel. Right turns onto Steckel for school drop off will be allowed as well as the through movement. In the northbound direction on Steckel, only right turns will be allowed. No left turns or through movements are allowed. Lastly, in the southbound direction, drivers will be allowed to make right and through turns.  

Drivers are reminded to please use caution, slow down and observe the cones in the construction area as workers and vehicles will be in lanes of traffic that are normally open.

Please consider alternate travel routes, avoid the intersection,  allow plenty of extra travel time to reach your destination, and expect significant  travel delays.
