Fay Ranch, CA: The following message is a notification by the Kern County Public Works Department.

If you live, work, or are visiting the Fay Ranch Community, please pay close attention to this message.

A portion of roadway is in danger of washing out and may become impassable.
 
The following road is being monitored by the Kern County Roads Department:
Fay Ranch Rd at the South Fork of the Kern River crossing, 1/2 mile north of the intersection of Fay Ranch Rd and Hwy 178.

Please prepare for the possibility of the roadway to become impassable. If the roadway washes out, residents of the Fay Ranch community could be isolated from access to Hwy 178.
 
Residents who need access in and out of the Fay Ranch Community are encouraged to plan accordingly for the closure.

If the situation changes, an updated message will be sent. You are encouraged to take action immediately if you feel threatened, even if you have not received another ReadyKern message.
