Avoid flooded intersections, roadways and southern boundaries.
The City of Hoboken and The Hoboken Office of Emergency Management are encouraging residents to exercise caution as rainfall is expected to continue into the evening hours, and flooding is expected in low lying areas. Residents are asked to avoid southern borders and if travel is necessary to enter and exit Hoboken from the northern parts of the city.
OEM crews have placed barricades in frequently flooded intersections. Please do not drive around them. Avoid driving and walking through flood waters. The City's new flood warning system is not fully installed and operational.
Please report flooded intersections and clogged drain inlets by calling the NHSA Hotline at (866) 689-3970.
Residents should monitor local forecasts for additional advisories, watches, and warnings. Residents are also encouraged to monitor the City’s Twitter (twitter.com/cityofhoboken) and Facebook (facebook.com/hoboken) or sign up to receive email or text updates by visiting www.hobokennj.gov/alerts.
