Due to the upcoming Memorial Day Holiday, there will be changes in many Borough services. Please be advised of the following changes.
 
Garbage & Recycling – Due to the Holiday, there will be no garbage collection on Monday, May 29, 2023. The entire town will be collected on Tuesday, May 30^th .
 
Parking – Alternate Side of the Street Parking rules will be suspended on Monday, May 29^th.  Overnight Parking rules will remain in effect. Emergency No Parking Rules may be put into effect in certain areas to allow for Memorial Day Observances. Please follow any posted signs.
 
Transportation – The Senior Bus and Medical Transport will be suspended on Monday, May 29^th. Services will resume on Tuesday, May 30^th.
 
Road Closures – There will be numerous road closures due to the Memorial Day Parade and observances during the morning hours. Please avoid driving in these areas or plan alternate routes.  The following roads will be closed:
 

• Hoboken Road – From Hackensack Street to Seventh Street
• Broad Street – From Hackensack Street to Jefferson Street
• Central Avenue  - From Hackensack Street to Jefferson Street
• Division Avenue – From Hackensack Street to Third Street
• Madison Street – From Broad Street to Central Avenue
• Third Street – From Broad Street to Division Avenue
• Hackensack Street – From Hoboken Road to Central Avenue
• Seventh Street – From Hoboken Road to Berry Avenue

 
Streets will open and close based on the movement of the parade.
 
Borough Hall – The Borough Hall will be closed on Monday, May 29^th and will reopen Tuesday, May 30^th. Hours for Borough Hall are 8:30 to 4:30 Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. 
 
 
Municipal Court – Court sessions continue to be held virtually.  The court offices are open to assist those who have business with the court.  The office is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The office will be closed during court sessions in order to enable the staff the ability to assist those scheduled. However, the office will be closed on Monday, May 29^th in observance of the holiday and will reopen on Tuesday, May 30^th.
 
Library -- The William E. Dermody Free Public Library will be closed on Monday, May 29^th and will reopen on Tuesday, May 30^th. Hours for the Library are 10am to 8pm, Monday through Thursday; 10 am to 5 pm on Fridays; and 10 am to 2 pm on Saturdays. Masks are optional. NOTE: THE LIBRARY WILL BE OPEN ON SATURDAY, MAY 27^TH.
 
Testing Center – The COVID-19 Testing Center and Vaccine Clinic at Sun Chemical will be OPEN during the weekend; however, the testing and vaccinations will end at 4:00 PM on Sunday, May 28^th.
