On May 1st the police department took two stolen vehicle reports which occurred overnight. One on Liederkranz Lane and the other on South Kossuth Street. Stolen were a Ford Explorer and a Mercedes E400. Surveilance video in the area indicated the vehicles were stolen shortly before 2:00 a.m. Credit cards which were in the Mercedes were unlawfully used in St. Louis. At least two other vehicles on Liederkranz were unlawfully entered, and a checkbook stolen out of one of them. With the assistance of the Metro East Auto Theft Task Force (MEATTF) the Ford was located early Monday evening in north St. Louis. MEATTF continues to assist our agency with the investigation in these incidents.
