On today’s date at about 5:25 PM, a “Strong-Arm” Robbery occurred at the Walmart Store located at 255 E. Cochran St. The elderly victim was inside the store, when a juvenile suspect (16-year-old male, Westlake Village resident) approached her and forcefully took her purse. Some nearby vigilant bystanders were able to recover the purse from the suspect while chasing after him. They were also quick to note his vehicle information as he fled the scene. Officers who were patrolling the area, located the suspect vehicle based on the description provided and pulled it over on Madera Rd. near Presidential Dr. The juvenile suspect was taken into custody during the stop and was later driven to Juvenile Hall where he was lodged.
