At Risk Missing Elderly Adult
The San Mateo Police Department needs assistance in locating an at-risk elderly man who has been missing since May 1, 2023.
San Mateo, CA - The San Mateo Police Department is looking to locate Hector Baez, a 68-year-old Burlingame resident who was reporting missing by his family on May 2, 2023. Baez was last seen on May 1, 2023, at approximately 11:45 p.m., when he was discharged from San Mateo Medical Center in San Mateo, CA. Baez left on foot, but he did not return to his skilled nursing facility located in Burlingame, CA. Baez was diagnosed with schizophrenia, and he takes medication for his condition. However, it is unknown when he last took his medication. He does not have a cell phone, money, or a vehicle. He has connections to Daly City, CA. Hector Baez, a Hispanic male, 5’6, grey hair, brown eyes. He was last seen barefoot and wearing a white t-shirt with pajama style pants.
