The City of Simonton was made aware of certain accusations against city staff and the city council by a local resident regarding among other things, open meetings violations.
These accusations were provided to the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s office in January 2023. After a thorough investigation and costly legal fees incurred by the city, the District Attorneys office did not find any illegal action by the City in regards to the accusations.
The District Attorneys office provided the following letter to the City, our legal counsel and the individual raising the allegations.
