100 Block of West Vale Road. On April 25, 2023 at 5 PM, suspects unknown, a male wearing dark clothing and a female wearing a gray hoodie, rang the doorbell to the victim’s house. Shortly afterward, the suspects forced open the side door to the garage. The victim looked out his window and yelled, “Hey” causing the suspects to flee the area in a dark vehicle. No video surveillance is available.
1900 block of Chesson Street. On April 25, 2023 at 12 PM, the victim's nephews, who have active restraining orders against them, forcibly entered the victim’s home while she was away for the week. The suspects apparently stayed in the victim’s home while she was away eating her food and leaving dirty dishes. No video surveillance is available.
April 26, 2023
- Aggravated Assault (Child Abuse):
Buena vista Street / Valencia Lane. On April 26, 2023 at 3 PM, the suspect and her 15-year-old son were driving down the street when the suspect started talking negatively about the victim’s father. The victim responded with a comment that the mother did not like, and she grabbed her son by the hair and pulled him forward and backward, and punched him twice in the head. The son attempted to defend himself when the mother pulled over and continued to assault him. Temple Sheriff Station was contacted regarding the incident, where Deputies arrested the mother for child abuse. No surveillance video is available.
2000 Block of Atlin Street. On April 26, 2023 at 4:38 AM, suspect unknown, wearing a white ski mask, gray jacket, and dark colored gloves, entered the victim’s home while it was being fumigated. Unknown loss at the time of report due to location fumigated and having toxic chemicals inside. Video surveillance is available.
1800 Block of Huntington Drive. On April 26, 2023 between 7 AM and 11 AM, suspect(s) unknown stole the victim's parked vehicle, a blue 2015 Kia Optima. No surveillance video is available.
3200 Block of Brookridge Road. Between April 25, 2023 11:30 PM and April 26, 2023 1 PM, suspect(s) unknown stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s parked vehicle, a black 2013 Nissan Versa. The loss was approximately $1,600. No surveillance video is available.
April 27, 2023
- Aggravated Assault (Domestic Violence):
1700 Fasana Road (The Esperanza). On April 27, 2023 at 3 PM, the suspect and victim were arguing over relationship issues when the suspect became irate and threw a printer at the victim. The victim attempted to deflect the printer but landed on his foot, causing a laceration to it. The suspect approached the victim, where a physical altercation occurred. The couple continued to argue and fight until the victim called “911”. The suspect fled the location in his white 2018 Audi A4. No surveillance video is available. Upon being contacted by a detective, the victim was non-deserious or prosecution.
1600 Mountain Avenue (Wal-Mart). On April 27, 2023 at 3:06 PM, the victim was at the location using the restroom when a female white adult unknown to her jumped over the stall barrier and began to strangle her with a USB cable. The victim, fearing for her life, began to scream for help. As the victim struggled and screamed for help, the suspect placed a sock in her mouth to prevent her from screaming. An anonymous male black adult wearing a red hat heard the screams for help and entered the restroom, and pulled the victim free from the suspect. Deputies responded and arrested the suspect, who was still inside the restroom. No surveillance video is available inside the restroom.
April 28, 2023
1336 Huntington Drive (Little Caesars). Between April 27, 2023 10:30 PM and April 28, 2023 8:32 AM, suspect(s) unknown shattered the front windows and entered the location. Suspect(s) ransacked the location and attempted to enter the businesses locked safe. Damages totaling Approximately $36,000. Possible video surveillance is available.
- Petty Theft (Shoplifting):
1050 Huntington Drive (Target). On April 28, 2023 at 7:53 PM, the suspect, a male white adult approximately 6’ 02” tall, 180 lbs, wearing a brown hat, green sweatshirt, and sweatpants entered the location where he selected several miscellaneous items totaling $680. The suspect walked out of the location without paying for the items, where he was detained by awaiting deputies. Surveillance video is available.

Principles of Crime Prevention
How to prevent a home burglary:
- Whenever you go outside, lock the door and take the key with you, even if you are stepping next door or out mowing the backyard.
- Don't put valuables near a window, especially items that can be carried away easily.
- Be sure to secure your garage door. Please do not leave it open when you are away.
- When you aren't home, use a timer set to turn interior lights on and off at varying intervals as though someone was home.
- If someone comes to your door asking to use the telephone, make the call yourself. Don't invite the person inside your home.
- Don't hide a spare key under the doormat. Thieves know all the good hiding places.
- Trim back any trees or shrubs near doors and windows to eliminate hiding places for would-be thieves.
- At night, make sure all the doors and windows are locked.
