Events to impact travel in Town this weekend: Saturday- Baseball Parade & Sunday- 10k Run.
Saturday, May 6th, from 9 am to 11 am, The New Castle Baseball & Softball Association will have its annual parade.
The parade route will be from Senter St, King St, then S Greeley Ave, ending at the baseball field opposite the Bell Middle School.
Sunday, May 7th, @ 7:50 am, The New Castle Recreation and Parks 10K, 5K & 1 mile fun Run will begin. The races will cause some road closures and partial lane restrictions. Motorists are asked to avoid the race route between 7:50 am and 10:30 am. Those motorists who must drive on the route should exercise caution as they will share the road with runners and likely encounter traffic delays and detours.
The following roads will be CLOSED TO ALL TRAFFIC:
- Quaker Road (NYS RT 120) Southbound from Roaring Brook Road to South Greeley 8:40 am to 10:30 am.
- Quaker Road (NYS RT 120) Northbound between Seven Bridges Road and Hardscrabble 8:40 am to 10:30 am.
- South Greeley Avenue, 7:50 am to 8:35 am.
- Start on South Greeley in front of the Bell School at 8:30 am.
- North on South Greeley Avenue to the left onto Quaker Road (NYS RT 120).
- Quaker Road (NYS RT 120) to the left onto Douglas Road.
- Douglas Road to the right onto Hardscrabble Road.
- Hardscrabble Road to the right onto Quaker Road (NYS RT 120).
- South on Quaker Road (NYS RT 120) to the left onto Roaring Brook Road.
- Roaring Brook Road to the right onto Cross Ridge Road
- Cross Ridge Road to the right onto Chappaqua Mountain Road.
- Chappaqua Mountain Road to the left onto Quaker Road (NYS RT 120).
- Quaker Road (NYS RT 120) to the right onto South Greeley Avenue.
- South Greeley Avenue to the right onto Washington Avenue.
- Washington Avenue to the right into the New Castle Town Hall parking lot.
