Due to unanticipated circumstances, starting Friday, May 5, 2023, at noon and until further notice, the Saint Paul Department of Public Safety will not be able to respond to law enforcement calls. This is because we will not have any certified police officers on island. However, Community Service Officer Merculief will be patrolling throughout the community on a regular basis. Emergcy dispatch will sill accpet 911 calls and document calls for law enforcement services. Additionally, first responders will still respond to calls for emergency medical services. The City is working diligently to find a qualified police officer that will be a good fit for our community.
