Flood Advisory until 12:15AM Sunday

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of north central Texas, including the following counties, Erath, Hood and Somervell.

* WHEN...Until 1215 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to slow-moving thunderstorms. This will likely cause urban and small stream flooding. Low lying and/or poor drainage areas will experience minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Stephenville, Granbury, Pecan Plantation, Glen Rose, Lipan, Bluff Dale, Dinosaur Valley State Park, Squaw Creek Reservoir, Oak Trail Shores, Morgan Mill, DeCordova, Cresson, Tolar, Stockton Bend, Waples, Mambrino, Paluxy, Chalk Mountain, Johnsville and Lake Granbury.

* AFFECTED AREAS: ERATH, TX ... HOOD, TX ... SOMERVELL, TX

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
