* Until 745 PM CDT.
* At 549 PM CDT, trained weather spotters reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain ins SYLVESTER with flooding over the roadway... Between 2 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. This storm was just north of noodle at 550 PM...moving slowly east at 5 mph. In addition a storm near Merkel will merge with this storm as it moves north to Anson. The expected rainfall rate is 2 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Trained spotters reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Anson, Hawley, Noodle, Sylvester, Longworth, The Intersection Of Us-180 And Ranch Road 126, Truby, Stith, Hodges and Funston. This includes the following Low Water Crossings... CO Rd. 444 crossing Noodle Creek and County Road 260 crossing Harmony Creek.
