* At 723 PM CDT, doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated slow-moving, heavy thunderstorms which have produced 2 inches of rain across a narrow corridor from near near Wilmington to near Manteno to near Grant Park. These thunderstorms will likely produce rain rates of 1 to 3 inches per hour. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Rapid-onset flooding of creeks, streams, drainage ditches, streets, underpasses, low-lying areas, and other poor drainage areas.
