* At 757 PM CDT, doppler radar and automated rain gauges continued to indicate slow-moving, heavy thunderstorms which have produced up to 3 inches of rain across a narrow corridor from near near Wilmington to near Manteno to near Grant Park. These thunderstorms are expected to continue producing rain rates of 1 to 3 inches per hour. HAZARD...Flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Rapid-onset flooding of creeks, streams, drainage ditches, streets, underpasses, low-lying areas, and other poor drainage areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Joliet, Plainfield, Oswego, Kankakee, New Lenox, Park Forest, Mokena, Bourbonnais, Frankfort, Yorkville, Bradley, Morris, Channahon, Minooka, Plano, Steger, Manteno, Sandwich, Braidwood and Wilmington.
