Do you (or someone you know in Southgate) have an interest in gardening? Do you/they enjoy Southgate’s trails and parks? Help your hometown of Southgate maintain and improve our parks and public spaces. Join us at our next Park and Tree board meeting and find out what is happening and maybe even make a suggestion or two:
Southgate Park and Tree Board Meeting
May 8th at 6 pm at the Community Center
We meet in the small hall, the door is on the left side of the building. It is open to the public and all are welcome; this is a great time and place to share your thoughts. You need not join but your voice can be heard. If what you hear sounds like a good place for your talents to bloom, we are looking for new members to help set goals and maintain those beautiful areas you see throughout our community. Simply let one of us know after our meeting if you would like to take the next step and volunteer.
Meetings are held once a month and special events offer more than just planting the trees and flowers that grace our community. Aileen Okura is our City Council liaison and can provide more info on this process.
All ideas are welcome...but change does not happen overnight so we look to the community to support us and in time we hope to both maintain and improve our wonderfully unique city of Southgate.
Please forward to anyone that you think would be interested.
Thanks,
Your Southgate Park and Tree Board
