Single vehicle accident on I69 leads to arrest of Evansville woman on DUI charge.

On May 7, 2023, at 2:15 a.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a report of a vehicle in a ditch on Interstate 69 near the 24 Mile Marker. Upon arriving on scene Deputy Barchett located a White 2018 Toyota Camry and the driver 25-year-old Emily Mahan of Evansville. While investigating the accident Deputy Barchett noticed clues that may indicate driving impairment. At that point Deputy Barchett began a roadside DUI investigation. At the conclusion of his investigation Deputy Barchett placed Ms. Mahan into custody and transported her to the Gibson County Jail where she was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated. She has since posted a $650 bond.
