INCIDENT: PC69(a) - Resist Executive Officer and H&S11351(a) - Possession of Controlled Substance for Sales
LOCATION: 1500 Block of Front Street, Needles
SUSPECT(S): Morgan Alvarez, 35 Years Old, Resident of Needles, CA
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Friday, May 5, 2023, at approximately 1:20 p.m., deputies responded to a call for service regarding possible drug activity near the 1500 block of Front Street, in Needles. When deputies arrived on scene, they made contact with Morgan Alvarez. During the contact, Alvarez was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. While attempting to search Alvarez, he became combative, assaulted deputies, and attempted to kick them multiple times. Deputies were able to detain Alvarez and subsequently located approximately 40 Fentanyl pills in his possession.
Alvarez was arrested for PC69(a)-Resist Executive Officer and H&S11351(a)-Possession of Controlled Substance for Sales. Alvarez was transported to High Desert Detention Center for booking. Alvarez remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, with a bail amount of $30,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
