* At 511 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles southwest of Carlyss, or 10 miles southeast of Vinton, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Lake Charles, Sulphur, Westlake, Vinton, Iowa, Grand Lake, Lacassine National Wildlife Refuge, Lake Charles Regional Airport, Moss Bluff, Carlyss, Hacketts Corner, Heberts Marina, Toomey, Lebleu Settlement, Edgerly, Hackberry, Sweet Lake, Holmwood and Bell City.
