Due to numerous complaints about the operation of ATVs on city streets, we will increase enforcement at citizens' requests. Here are some highlights of the city ordinance:
-ATVs may only be operated on City streets with a permit issued by the City (Available at City Hall)
-ATVs may only have 1 operator and NO passengers
-Operators of an ATV MUST have a VALID driver's license
-ATVs must be operated at speeds of less than 30 MPH
-ATVs must have a bicycle safety flag that extends not less than 7 feet above the ground
-The flag must be a triangle not less than 30 square inches, day glow in color, and attached to the rear of the ATV
-ATVs are PROHIBITED on any Highway (C Hwy, Hwy 116 including Clay, and Y Hwy)
