The Oakland Police Department (OPD) arrested James Goodman for the fatal shooting of William Graham.
The homicide occurred on October 7, 2022, in the 1600 block of 45th Avenue.
Due to the hard work and combined efforts of OPD officers assigned to the Violent Crime Operations Center (VCOC), Patrol, Homicide Investigators, and the US Marshals, Graham was safely taken into custody.
The Alameda County District Attorney's Office charged Goodman with murder.

The Oakland Police Department (OPD) is investigating a homicide that occurred on October 7, 2022, just before 10:00 p.m. Officers responded to the 1600 block of 45th Avenue to investigate the sound of gunshots.
Upon arrival, officers located two adult male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency medical assistance arrived and transported both victims to a local hospital. One of the victims was pronounced deceased at the hospital, and the second victim is in stable condition.
The victim's name is being withheld pending notification to next-of-kin.
