Union City, CA – On Thursday, May 11, 2023 at approximately 2:12pm, Union City police officers responded to the area of Union City Boulevard and Horner Street to investigate a traffic collision involving a bicyclist and a motor vehicle.  When officers arrived on scene, they located the bicyclist lying on the roadway with major injuries.  The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital and treated for their injuries.  The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene of the collision and has cooperated with the investigation.  Alcohol or narcotic impairment does not appear to be a contributing factor for the collision.
