Message to Essex Fells Residents 
As vehicle thefts, vehicle burglaries and home burglaries continue in the West Essex Area and Essex Fells, The Essex Fells Police Department would like to remind you to ALWAYS lock your house and vehicle. Please remember to remove the keys/key fobs from your vehicle, remove valuables that are in plain sight, never leave your vehicle running unattended and do not leave car keys visible from the outside of your home. We ask that you never confront the thieves and to call 9-1-1 immediately.
