* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following areas, Austin, Brazoria Islands, Coastal Brazoria, Coastal Galveston, Coastal Harris, Fort Bend, Galveston Island, Grimes, Inland Brazoria, Inland Galveston, Inland Harris, Montgomery and Waller.

* WHEN...Through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Low-water crossings may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Periods of showers and thunderstorms are anticipated today as upper level disturbances pass overhead. Portions of the new watch area received excessive rainfall on Saturday, especially in Montgomery and Grimes County where radar estimates up to 5 to 6 inches of rainfall. Montgomery County has reported that multiple roads are not passable as a result of the excessive rainfall with additional rainfall expected today. High resolution model guidance depicts that another 2 to 4 inches today with isolated higher amounts possible. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
