Deputy Jared Tilson with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 51-year-old Shannon Hill Raines of Old Fort with felonious Possession of Methamphetamine and Assault on a Female. Raines was issued a $5,000 secured bond.
On May 14th, Deputies responded to a Marion residence for a domestic. Signs of assault on the female victim were evident upon arrival. A search of Raines turned up methamphetamine.
